How to get back your in-app purchases?

When you delete the app from your device, you remove all its content as well. That also includes all your in-app purchases. After downloading it again, you get the app without any in-app content.

It would be absolutely crazy (and a complete rip-off) if you had to buy the same items again. Therefore apps have a mechanism called “restore purchases”. The “restore purchases” feature simply unlocks the content you have already pay for. And don’t worry, the App Store won’t charge you for the same product twice. Even if you choose “buy item”, you will receive a notification that your purchase will be re-downloaded without paying. But note that only non-consumable content can be restored, for example you can not restore virtual coins or hints.

The “restore purchases” feature also works when you install a purchased app on another device using the same iTunes account. Or if an app has one big nasty bug that unintentionally removes all your paid in-app purchases. Yep, guilty as charged.

1. Make sure you’re signed in with the same Apple ID you used to make the purchase.

2. Make sure you have installed the latest version of Toonia Colorbook.

3. Launch the app and scroll to the one of the in app purchases on the first screen.

4. Find the “restore” button in the bottom right corner.

5. Enjoy coloring!
